As a programmer/consultant for Shane Media, Jon Lutes is contemporary music analyst, guiding both concept and music selection for Top 40, Alternative and Adult Contemporary stations. Internally, he's our IT specialist and holds a Comptia A+ certification, which basically means he can fix the insides of computers. His knowledge of computer science allows him to help Shane Media clients apply popular music rotation software like Selector or PowerGold to virtually any music format, maximizing rotations and on air exposure for the library. Jon joined Shane Media in 1995. Before that he was Program Director at K-TEX in Bryan-College Station, Texas. He began his radio career at the legendary West Texas Top 40 powerhouse, KWES. Later he worked at stations in Austin, Lake Charles and El Paso. Other than music, Jon's passions include Disney art and animation, anime, and California chardonnays. He earned a BA in Journalism from Southwest Texas State University, and he's a member of the U.S. Naval Reserve. jlutes@shanemedia.com
